Get the gigs you need by reading this article.
I have written another article for Music Connection magazine (thanks, Mark!) in which I discuss the need to set goals and do your research when trying to get those gigs.
A take-away from the article is the need to show that you can really work with the promoter or talent buyer to sell ore tickets, once the deal is done. You really need your social media chops up-to-par and keep the promoter included in everything you do and say leading up to the show. That way, she knows you are working hard to make it a success for both of you and, in the unlikely event the show does not draw many people, she will know you did your very best.
